Adalina, Atlanta

4403 Northside Pkwy NW #150, Atlanta, GA 30327

Tucked away off Northside Parkway in Vinings, you will find Dennis Lange’s new restaurant, Adalina, a vibrant Italian eatery that features organic, locally sourced produce, meat, fish, cheeses and mushrooms from more than a dozen farms in north Georgia.

Inspired by the hilltops of Italy, the dining room’s fresh take on old Italy design welcomes guests like family — even the restrooms have a unique European charm.

Adalina’s creative menu is fueled by the ingenuity of chef Josh Hopkins, who has graced the kitchens of some of Atlanta’s hottest restaurants and is known for his love of local produce, grass-fed beef and sustainable seafood. On our recent visit for dinner, some of the items we tried had been slightly modified by the chef in order to include the freshest available ingredients.

We began our evening with two of their specialty cocktails. The Adalina Mule was made with Four Roses bourbon, lime, soda and house-made ginger-fennel syrup, while the Denzio was prepared with prosecco, elderflower, mint, simple syrup, soda, lemon and our choice of gin or vodka.

We followed our drinks with the spring pea bruschetta appetizer, made with goat cheese, lion's mane mushroom and basil. The bruschetta was delicious, and its combination of goat cheese, mushrooms and basil was a unique twist.

For dinner, we sampled the hanger steak, prepared with fried artichokes, grilled broccolini and portabella mushrooms with chimichurri. We also tucked into the branzino, a European sea bass that was served with fingerling potatoes, fennel salad and yogurt. Both dishes were excellent. I especially loved the fried artichokes — they would be perfect on their own as an appetizer.

We capped our meal with dessert and coffee. While I was wowed by the innovative flavor combinations of the cocktails,

appetizers and entrees, I must say I was a little disappointed in the desserts. While they were good, they did not come across with the same creativity as the main menu.

Overall, I would rate the food, service and ambiance as excellent. Check it out if you are in the area. To find Adalina, visit or head to 4403 Northside Pkwy. NW, Suite 150, Atlanta, GA 30327.
